This Refund and Return Policy (“Policy”) is issued by AKT Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and applies to all purchases made through our online store. This Policy is aligned with the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, as applicable in India.
By placing an order on our website, you (“Customer,” “you,” or “your”) acknowledge and agree to the terms set forth below.
1. General Policy
1.1 All products sold through AKT Studio are custom-made to order using print-on-demand production methods.
1.2 As per Section 2(47) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, customers are entitled to goods that are free from defects and match the description provided.
1.3 Since our products are manufactured specifically for each order, returns and exchanges are generally not permitted for reasons such as:
- Wrong size selected by the customer.
- Change of mind or buyer’s remorse.
- Color variations due to digital display differences.
2. Order Cancellations
2.1 Orders may be cancelled within twelve (12) hours of placement by contacting our customer service team.
2.2 Once production has commenced, cancellation requests cannot be entertained under Rule 6(3) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020.
3. Eligibility for Refunds or Replacements
3.1 Customers may request a refund or replacement under the following circumstances:
- The product delivered is defective or damaged.
- The product does not match the description or specifications advertised.
- The incorrect item has been delivered.
3.2 Customers must raise a complaint within seven (7) days of delivery and provide:
- The order number.
- Photographic or video evidence of the defect, damage, or error.
3.3 Once the claim is verified, AKT Studio will, at its discretion, provide either:
- A replacement product at no additional cost; or
- A full refund if replacement is not possible.
4. Refund Process
4.1 Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within five (5) to ten (10) business days.
4.2 In compliance with Rule 5(4) of the E-Commerce Rules, customers will be informed of the refund status and timelines.
4.3 Refunds may be withheld or denied if adequate evidence is not provided or if the claim does not fall within the scope of Section 2(47) (defect/deficiency in goods).
5. Shipping and Delivery Issues
5.1 AKT Studio is not liable for delays caused by courier partners, incorrect shipping details provided by customers, or failure to collect the package.
5.2 If a package is confirmed as lost in transit by the carrier, AKT Studio will arrange for a replacement order at no additional cost.
6. Non-Returnable Items
As permitted under Section 100 of the Consumer Protection Act and Rule 6(5) of the E-Commerce Rules, the following items are strictly non-returnable:
- Customized or personalized products (as they are manufactured on demand).
- Products returned without prior authorization.
- Products showing signs of use, alteration, or deliberate damage.
7. Limitation of Liability
7.1 AKT Studio’s liability shall not exceed the value of the product purchased.
7.2 Under no circumstances shall AKT Studio be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits, arising from the purchase or use of our products.
8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
8.1 This Policy shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
8.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts located in Surat, Gujarat].
8.3 Customers retain their right to seek remedies under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 through the appropriate Consumer Dispute Redressal Commission.
9. Customer Grievance Redressal Mechanism
9.1 In compliance with Rule 4(4) of the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, AKT Studio has appointed a Grievance Officer to address consumer complaints.

9.2 The Grievance Officer shall acknowledge consumer complaints within forty-eight (48) hours of receipt.
9.3 All complaints shall be resolved within a period of one (1) month from the date of receipt, as mandated under Rule 4(5) of the E-Commerce Rules, 2020.
